WINTER IN VAIL
Step outside into the great outdoors this winter! Explore the very best of Vail's outdoor beauty by getting out on the slopes. The possibilities are endless, but here is a few recommendations we have to stay safe while enjoying the beauty of Vail.
At 5,289 acres, Vail Mountain is the third-largest single-mountain ski resort in the United States, behind Big Sky and Park City, featuring seven bowls and intermediate terrain in Blue Sky Basin.
The Nordic Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter season. The Nordic Center track is maintained and groomed daily at 8:00 a.m. If six inches of snow falls by midday after grooming, the snowmobile with the sled will be pulled over the 5K loop for additional grooming. Explore Vail mountain at night and on a ski bike. Each tour time last approximately 2 hours. Each rider is guaranteed one ride down the mountain. Tour start times are 5:00pm & 5:30pm, we recommend that you load the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) located in Lionshead at least a half an hour before your tour start time. No ski vacation is complete without some snow tubing and zip-lining as well. Grab a tube and ticket from Adventure Ridge located at the top of Eagles Nest. The 900 ft-long multi-lane hill features music, long runs and the Adventure Bahn covered carpet to transport tubers to the top. To learn more, contact our guest services department at 970.343.6135
