How to Plan a Ski Group Trip to Vail: Room Blocks and Meeting Space

By Patrick W. Davis, Director of Sales & Marketing

Plan the Room Block First

A ski group trip to Vail begins with a room block, which reserves a set number of rooms for your group. Contact sales@manorvail.com with your preferred dates and the number of rooms you expect. Attrition terms outline how many rooms need to be used to avoid reduction fees.

Where a Group Lives

Manor Vail Lodge has 90 condominium residences. Studios and one-bedrooms are about 700 square feet, and two- and three-bedrooms are about 1,400 square feet. Every residence has a full kitchen, a gas fireplace and a private balcony or patio, so a group has a place to gather around the fireplace.

Mornings and the Mountain

A hot breakfast buffet is included daily for registered guests, and the heated outdoor pools and hot tubs are open year-round. The lodge is steps from the Riva Bahn Express Lift at Golden Peak, with complimentary ski valet at Chair 6 and a private ski locker in each residence. The Vail Ski and Snowboard School's Golden Peak campus is just across the street from the lodge.

Vail Resorts lists special savings on lift tickets, rentals, dining and activities for groups of 20 or more. Vail Ski and Snowboard School's adult group lessons serve ages 16 and older, child group lessons accommodate ages 7 to 15, and children under 7 join smaller groups by ability.

Meetings and Gatherings

For a corporate ski retreat or a reunion that needs a working session, the lodge offers meeting rooms from a boardroom that seats 18 to a ballroom for up to 200 guests, and multiple venues have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Gore Creek and the Gore Range. Confirm capacities by room and setup with the events team.
