Family Ski Holiday: A Vail Condominium with Pool Steps from the Lift
By Patrick W. Davis, Director of Sales & Marketing
Manor Vail Lodge is a luxury condominium lodge at the base of Golden Peak, suited to families who want the space of a condominium residence, year round pools, and easy access to the lifts. For families planning a ski trip from Australia and wanting to stay near the lifts, the location reduces daily travel and keeps Vail Village within an easy walk.
A Family Condo Base Near Golden Peak
Manor Vail Lodge is steps from the Riva Bahn Express lift at Chair 6, though it is not ski-in/ski-out.
You will carry equipment only a short distance, while staying close enough to return to your residence during the day when needed.
The property pairs pools and hot tubs with a location near the ski lifts.
Steps from the Lift: Access That Simplifies Ski Days
Chair 6, the ski school and Vail Village are all close to the lodge. This helps reduce the time spent moving children, boots, skis, and snowboards between your residence and the mountain.

The Lift, Golden Peak, and Vail Village
The Vail Ski and Snowboard School Golden Peak campus is a very short walk across the street, and reservations are recommended for lessons.
Vail Village is a five minute walk away.
Ski Valet, Rentals, and Ski School Planning
Complimentary ski valet is available for guests at Chair 6. Ask the front desk how it works.
Vail Sports operates a Golden Peak ski shop that partners with the lodge, and gear rentals are also offered through the lodge's rental partner; ask the front desk for details. Please confirm current availability and booking details before you arrive.
Contact the ski school directly before booking lessons. Confirm the meeting point, arrival instructions, participant requirements, and current program availability for your dates.
Choose a Residence for Your Family's Stay
The lodge has 90 condominium residences, ranging from studios to three bedroom condominiums and two penthouses. The range lets you match the residence to your group size and preferred amount of shared space.
Space for Families and Groups
Studios and one bedroom residences are about 700 square feet. Two and three bedroom residences are about 1,400 square feet, have three bathrooms, and can sleep up to eight people. Penthouse 454 has three bedrooms plus a den and hosts up to eight guests. Penthouse 470 has four bedrooms plus a loft and sleeps up to ten. It is seasonal, so check availability for your dates.
Larger residences suit families who want separate areas for bedtime, meals, and evenings together. Review the specific layout before booking because residences are individually owned.
In-Residence Features for Longer Stays
Every Manor Vail residence includes a full kitchen, gas fireplace, private balcony or patio with a gas grill, views of Vail Mountain or Gore Creek, and a private ski locker. The grill runs on a gas line, so there is no tank to refill. A kitchen supports early breakfasts and relaxed dinners, while the ski locker keeps equipment out of the living area.

Pool, Hot Tubs, and Services After the Slopes
All guests share two heated outdoor pools and four heated hot tubs. These facilities remain open year round and give families a convenient place to relax after skiing. Penthouse 454 also has its own outdoor jacuzzi.

A daily hot breakfast buffet is included for registered guests. This can simplify mornings when family members need to eat, dress, collect equipment, and reach lessons or lifts on schedule.
On the property, a guest laundry room is available, and fees apply.
A resort service fee applies in addition to the room rate. The fee includes:
- Connectivity and refreshments: Wi-Fi, in-room coffee and tea, local phone service, lobby coffee and cookies, and newspapers.
- Wellness facilities: Access to the spa and fitness facility.
Please confirm the current fee and what it covers for your dates, especially when budgeting for an extended family holiday.
Getting Around Without a Car
The Golden Peak setting keeps a car free stay within reach. Chair 6, the ski school and Vail Village are all close by, and the lodge provides complimentary in-town shuttle service, so daily driving may not be necessary.
Getting There and Moving Around
Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is about a 40 minute drive from the lodge. Denver is about 100 miles (about 160 km) east, typically a 1.5 to 2 hour drive via I-70. Guest Services can help book airport transportation, and you can check flyege.com for the current flight schedule.
Confirm current shuttle operating details for your travel dates. Parking is available for a nightly fee, in a covered underground garage or a surface lot, with no valet parking, so factor it in when deciding whether to rent a car.
What to Confirm for School Holiday Dates and Costs
Planning for the January school holidays, or Christmas and New Year, with children? Confirm availability, minimum stay requirements, services, and the exact residence layout directly with Manor Vail Lodge.
Children under 12 stay free using existing bedding. Please confirm bedding and occupancy for your residence when you book.
